This recipe will show you how to eat natto like Japanese people and will add a splash of delicious gourmet chili oil from Ishigaki island.

Natto is a unique and traditional Japanese food made from fermented soybeans. It has gained recent international fame outside of Japan as a healthy superfood. Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup freshly cooked brown rice or your favorite rice. You can also use bean sprouts as an alternative.
  • 1 pack natto 
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp Ishigaki Gourmet Chili Oil 
  • Salt (as deserved for flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Cook one cup of brown rice.
  2. Discard of the sauce that comes in the natto package.
  3. In a bowl, mix the natto, salt and Ishigaki Gourmet Chili Oil.  
  4. Top the brown rice with the natto mixture in step 3 and enjoy. 2 Completed by putting natto on freshly cooked brown rice.
