RECIPE: Salt Mikan Marinated Cod

Salt mikan marinade adds the perfect mellow acidity and citrus flavor to fresh cod.

Servings: 2


  • 2 servings cod
  • 2 Tbsp salt mikan marinade*
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 10g (~2 tsp) butter
  • Pinch of black pepper


  1. Cover the cod with the salt mikan marinade and marinate in the fridge for about an hour. Wipe with paper towel to remove excess water then sprinkle with flour.
  2. Heat the olive oil and butter in a frying pan over medium heat then add the marinated cod skin side down. Once cooked, turn the heat to low, flip the cod and cover the pan with a lid. Cook for one more minute. Serve topped with a pinch of black pepper.
