RECIPE: Avocado Miso Dip & Spread
The creaminess of avocados and yogurt combines perfectly with the salty mellow earthiness of miso in this easy-to-make vegetable dip/spread.
Ingredients:
- ½ ripe avocado
- 2 tsp spicy chili shiitake miso* (or any other miso*)
- 1 tsp plain yogurt
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mash the ripe avocado with a fork until smooth.
- Add spicy chili shiitake miso, plain yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly to combine. Additional miso paste can be added to suit your taste. Serve alongside your favorite vegetables or crusty bread and enjoy!
