Servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 block (300g) firm tofu

  • 1 Tbsp (~10g) butter

  • 3 Tbsp Sudachi Citrus Ponzu

  • 1 ½ Tbsp mirin*

  • Additional butter for plating (if desired)

  • Parmesan cheese (to taste)

  • Black pepper (to taste)

  • Fresh herbs, julienned (parsley, basil, etc.) (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the tofu into 8 equal pieces.

  2. Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the tofu and pan fry for 2 mins on each side until golden brown.

  3. Once the tofu is browned on both sides, add the Sudachi Citrus Ponzu and mirin. Reduce heat and cook until sauce is slightly thickened.

  4. Add additional butter if desired for a richer, thicker sauce.

  5. To serve, plate the tofu and remaining sauce and top with julienned herbs and a sprinkling of black pepper and parmesan cheese.
