Different types of seafood jerky are staple otsumami (foods that pair with alcohol) in Japanese drinking culture. This sweet and spicy Sansho Teriyaki Sardine Jerky are made from domestically caught sardines that are combined in a delicious and traditional teriyaki sauce that also incorporates one of Japan's quintessential spices: sansho. Sansho is known as the Japanese peppercorn and is similar to the Szechuan peppercorns except for more noticeable citrus notes and an extra spicy kick.
