It adds flavor to tsukune (Japanese chicken meatballs), chicken wings, grilled meats and fish, is perfect for slathering on top of donburi (rice bowls), and so much more! Use it anytime you want that quintessential sweet and savory Japanese taste.

Ingredients: Soy sauce (from Iwate Prefecture), unrefined cane sugar (from Kagoshima Prefecture), hon mirin (true/genuine mirin from Gifu Prefecture) (includes soy and wheat)

Suggested Uses: Extremely versatile, this teriyaki sauce can be used as a marinade or glaze for meats or fish, as a bbq sauce on ribs, in stir fry dishes or as a glaze for mochi, similar to mitarashi dango. Try using 2 Tbsp in our Oyakodon (Chicken and Egg Bowl) recipe instead of the soy sauce, sugar and mirin or use any ingredients you have on hand to create your own homemade donburi (rice bowl). Can also be used in traditional Japanese dishes such as nimono (simmered vegetable and seafood), kakuni (braised pork), kinpira gobo (braised carrots and burdock), or as a substitute in recipes for soy sauce, sugar and mirin.
Substitutions: Use as a substitute for soy sauce, sugar and mirin.

Great for putting together a quick meal!

This sauce is so versatile for making delicious donburis. Try it with fried eggplant, in an oyako-don, or even as a topping for an assortment of leftovers served on rice. I always keep a bottle in my fridge.
