RECIPE: Shiitake Paste & Garlic Rice

The combination of salty shiitake and aromatic garlic creates an umami-rich flavor to everyday rice. Easy to make, this recipe can be served hot or cold.

Servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 2 servings cooked rice
  • 2 Tbsp Shiitake Mushroom Paste
  • 1 tsp soy sauce*
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Dried parsley

Instructions:

  1. Fry the crushed garlic in oil in a pan on medium heat until fragrant.
  2. Add the rice, shiitake mushroom paste, soy sauce and black pepper. Mix evenly.
  3. Serve with a sprinkling of dried parsley.
