The combination of salty shiitake and aromatic garlic creates an umami-rich flavor to everyday rice. Easy to make, this recipe can be served hot or cold.
- 1 tsp crushed garlic
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 2 servings cooked rice
- 2 Tbsp Shiitake Mushroom Paste
- 1 tsp soy sauce*
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Dried parsley
- Fry the crushed garlic in oil in a pan on medium heat until fragrant.
- Add the rice, shiitake mushroom paste, soy sauce and black pepper. Mix evenly.
- Serve with a sprinkling of dried parsley.
