We’re sorry to hear you had that experience! It’s hard to say without knowing exactly what kind of mochi you had, but mochi doesn’t typically contain MSG. Kokoro Care doesn’t carry any products that contain MSG, so you can enjoy items from our website without any worries of a negative reaction from it.

Thank you for your comment! Although yeast extract and MSG share similarities, they are not the same. Yeast extract is a natural flavor enhancer containing glutamates along with other compounds, while MSG is a pure, synthetic form of glutamate used to boost savory flavor.
I see you say all your products are MSG free which is great. MSG triggers my migraines. But I see yeast extract listed at least o one product. Is that not MSG? Thanks, Donna
Thank you for your comment! MSG is used quite frequently as a seasoning similar to salt in Japan and can be found in many foods. If your wife has a negative reaction to it, it would be worth checking when eating foods in Japan. However, all our products are free from MSG so no need to worry when purchasing from us!
