For over 400 years, tea farmers in Shirakawa Town have been refining local tea traditions and techniques to create this rare tea. The mountainous tea gardens of the Mino district of Shirakawa have long been prized for their ideal tea-growing climate and nutrient-rich soil. The large temperature differences between the morning and evening hours create teas with a smooth taste, moderate astringency, and light natural sweetness. Made with 100% Yabukita leaves, this black tea has a delicate symphony of flavors with rich undertones of umami and a refreshing aftertaste. This tea has a very slight bitterness, so we recommend enjoying it as is before adding a touch of sugar, if needed./p>
