This special treat combines two local specialties from Kyushu: satsumaimo (sweet potato) from southern Kyushu and Yamauchi Honten’s own “Maboroshi Miso”. The sweet potatoes are fried with their skin on until crispy and then baked with a mix of butter, sugar and maboroshi miso which adds a rich, umami sweetness.
