Konnyaku, or konjac, is a Japanese food made from a special yam/taro that grows in the mountains of Japan. Powdered then combined mostly with water, konnyaku can be found in blocks, noodles or balls and has essentially no calories with a high amount of dietary fiber. It also has almost no taste and instead takes on the flavors of the ingredients it’s combined with.
