Yuzurikko in Japanese: 柚りっ子

Yuzurikko was founded in 2007 by Sumie Misawa, when she was 66-year-old in Tokushima prefecture, a region famous for its yuzu. She noticed that many pesticide-free yuzu were being left unused as the aging farmers were no longer able to climb the steep mountain slopes to harvest the fruit. She didn't want to see the precious yuzu go to waste and decided to reinvigorate the industry by creating her own yuzu products and bringing in younger farmers to help with the harvest.
