RECIPE: Osuimono (Clear Soup) Gratin
Our Shiitake & Flying Fish Osuimono adds an element of luxury and a Japanese twist to this quick and comforting gratin.

Ingredients:
- 1 packet Shiitake & Flying Fish Osuimono (Clear Soup)*
- 120ml (~½ cup) boiling water
- 1 egg (beaten)
- Fried fu* (or bread cut into small pieces) (to taste)
- Butter (to taste)
- Cheese (to taste)
Instructions:
- In an oven-safe bowl or dish combine 1 packet of Shiitake & Flying Fish Osuimono with boiling water. Stir to combine. Add a bit of butter if desired.
- Soak the fu or bread in the prepared soup, letting it soften and absorb the liquid.
- Add the beaten egg and top with cheese as desired.
- Bake in an oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20 mins until the cheese is melted and beginning to brown.
