Different types of seafood jerky are popular otsumami (foods that pair with alcohol) in Japanese drinking culture. This sweet and spicy Sansho Teriyaki Sardine Jerky is made from domestically caught sardines that are combined in a delicious, traditional teriyaki sauce that also incorporates one of Japan's quintessential spices: sansho. Sansho is known as the Japanese peppercorn and is similar to Szechuan peppercorns but have more noticeable citrus notes and an extra spicy kick.
