Japanese Green Tea Company's Matcha Green Tea Powder

This authentic Japanese matcha is made from the yabukita cultivar that is shaded for a few weeks before harvest to increase natural levels of caffeine and amino acids. The leaves are then dried, stems and veins are removed from the leaves, and then the tea is ground into a luxurious fine powder.

The farmers carefully cultivate crops of thick grass around their tea trees and use sugar cane soil following the Chagusaba method. In collaboration with researchers from Shizuoka University, they study the soil and its impacts on the sweetness of the tea.  

This premium matcha is loved by many top chefs in Japan as it provides more aroma than any others on the market.
