Recipe: Spoonful Tian's Sakura Matcha Strawberry Sago

This Sakura Matcha Strawberry Sago from Spoonful Tian makes for a bright and refreshing springtime treat! The subtle floral notes and earthy matcha make a great milk base to be paired with bouncy sago, coconut jelly, fresh strawberries, and strawberry yokan jelly pieces.

Ingredients

1 pack of Sakura Matcha

3 Tbsp boiling water

1 cup milk

¼ cup sago
-
2 packets of Strawberry Yokan (Firm Jelly Cake)

5 strawberries, diced

Coconut jelly, to taste
1. In a bowl, mix together the boiling water and sakura matcha until combined. Set aside to cool.
2. Meanwhile, heat a pot until boiling and cook the sago for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for another 10 minutes. Drain and set aside in cold water to cool.
3. Cut the strawberry yokan jelly and strawberries into pieces. Mix the milk with sakura matcha until combined.
4. To assemble, add the strawberries, strawberry yokan jelly, coconut jelly, sago, and sakura matcha milk to a bowl and mix to combine. Chill overnight before serving.
