Loquat leaf tea, called "biwacha" in Japanese, has a long history in Kagoshima, dating back to the 14th century. Totsukawa Nojo's refreshingly fragrant tea is made with 100% locally grown loquat leaves carefully processed using the farm's unique production methods. The resulting tea has a stunning red-brown color with a mellow earthy flavor, subtle fruity notes, and slight bitterness.

Suggested Uses: Add 1 tea bag to a mug, pour in 250ml of hot water and let steep for 3 mins. You can also just add room temperature water and microwave for 1-2 mins at 600W. Try it iced or with a slice of orange for an even more refreshing drink. The tea can also be used instead of water when cooking rice, hot pot, and even curry!
Substitutions: Enjoy in place of your usual cup of tea for a fruity and caffeine-free drink. Can also be used in place of water to add flavor to dishes like rice, hot pot, and curry.
