Yokan is a firm jelly-like wagashi (traditional Japanese sweet). This special yokan is flavored with houjicha, roasted green tea, made from organic green tea from Wazuka Town in Uji, Kyoto - the second oldest tea-growing region in Japan. Roasting the leaves makes houjicha less bitter compared to other green teas, while creating a slightly sweet, nutty, roasted flavor.

Natural Attorait harvests pure organic green tea on farmland where pesticides and chemical fertilizers have not been used for over three years. This is one of the many requirements needed to achieve the rigorous organic designation from JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standard).

Storage: Refrigerate after opening and use as soon as possible.

Sweet tea treat

I cut this up into little slices, and it was so very nice. I didn't have tea with it, but it was like eating little slices of sweet tea, tasty.
