A unique blend of Kakukyu’s traditional liquid miso and potato chips creates a sweet miso flavor perfectly complemented with a dash of salt. Made from Japanese “beni haruka” sweet potatoes, which are known for their sweet richness, these chips are kettle-fried to achieve a crisp and light texture. This sweetness is perfectly balanced by hatcho miso, a specialty of Aichi Prefecture, which undergoes a long fermentation process of about 24 to 30 months and is made of soybeans rather than rice. Compared to other types of miso, it is less sweet and has an intense umami flavor.
