Traditionally served during the Japanese tea ceremony, matcha can now has an array of uses ranging from a hot drink and lattes to baking and cooking. Matcha gets its vibrant green color from green tea leaves that are shaded just before harvest, which increases the amount of chlorophyll in the leaves. Made from high-quality matcha produced in Shizuoka, this special matcha also includes edible sakura (cherry blossom) leaf powder which imparts a mild floral flavor and aroma, and a touch of sugar to balance the natural bitterness of the matcha.

Suggested Uses: To serve hot, combine 1 packet with 130ml (~4.5 oz) of boiling water and stir to combine. To serve cold, combine 1 packet with 120ml (~4 oz) of water. Can also be made into a hot or cold latte by substituting milk for water. Try using in mocktails or cocktails, or when baking, for a fun and flavorful twist!
Substitutions: Enjoy this sakura matcha in place of your typical cup of coffee or tea.
