This herbal tea is made from shell ginger, a unique ingredient from Okinawa named for its beautiful, pink, shell-shaped flowers. Completely caffeine-free, this tea has subtle floral and clove-like flavor with mild ginger afternotes. It is the perfect accompaniment to a moment of relaxation.

Suggested Uses: This versatile mentsuyu concentrate can be combined with water in different ratios to create a variety of classic Japanese dishes. It can be used as a dipping sauce for soba, udon, and somen noodles by combining equal parts mentsuyu and water. It can be used as a donburi (rice bowl) sauce or tempura dipping sauce by combining 1 part mentsuyu with 1-2 parts water. It can be used as a soup or oden base by combining one part mentsuyu with 5-6 parts water.
Substitutions: Use as a substitute for soy sauce in cooking or sauces.
