RECIPE: Wafu BBQ Pizza
Tired of plain old cheese and pepperoni pizza? Try something new this summer! This Wafu BBQ Pizza features thin slices of Japanese BBQ-style beef, gooey mozzarella cheese, and a creamy sauce.

Ingredients:

Prepared pizza crust

160g (~ 6 oz) thinly sliced beef

½ onion

Small handful of komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach) (substitute with spinach or arugula)

80g (~ 1 cup) mozzarella cheese (shredded)

4 Tbsp mayonnaise

1 tsp sugar

Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions:

Peel the onion and cut into bite-sized wedges. Wash the komatsuna (or spinach/arugula), pat dry, and cut into 3-4cm pieces.

In a bowl, mix the thinly sliced beef, onion wedges, Vegan Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) Sauce, mayonnaise, and sugar.

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place the prepared crust on the baking sheet.

Top with the prepared meat and sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and chopped komatsuna (or spinach/arugula).

Bake for about 15 mins in the oven or toaster oven at 250℃ / 475℉ until browned and bubbling. Garnish with red pepper flakes if desired.
