RECIPE: Creamy Imo Butter Sando (Sweet Potato Buttercream Sandwich)

Enjoy the tastes of a cake shop-quality sweet with this unique fall-inspired sando! We’ve combined the warm and nutty taste of Kawagoe sweet potatoes with the richness of cream cheese and a touch of sweetener to create the perfect autumn culinary experience you can enjoy on a bagel.

 

Servings: 1


Ingredients:

  • 1 bagel (use your favorite flavor)

  • 3 Tbsp cream cheese (can be substituted with whipped cream)

  • 2 Tbsp prune jam (can be substituted with maple syrup, agave, or date syrup)

  • 2 Tbsp Kawagoe Sweet Potato Buttercream

  • Sliced roasted almonds (optional)


Note: All ingredients can be adjusted to suit your tastes. 


 

Instructions:

  1. To assemble the sando, slice your bagel in half and toast it if desired. 

  2. Spread the bottom half of the bagel with a base of cream cheese, followed by a layer of prune jam, and finally a dollop of Kawagoe Sweet Potato Buttercream. 

  3. Top with the other half of the bagel and you’re ready to enjoy this delicious, sweet sando!
