- Marinate the fish by combining all the ingredients to make a sauce and leaving it in the fridge for at least half a day.
- Grill, bake in an oven or fry in a pan (be careful not to burn the sauce).
OPTIONS
- You can replace the mirin with sugar while increasing the amount of sake.
- Add yuzu zest or grated ginger to the sauce before marinating.
- Sprinkle with shichimi togarashi when serving.
- Use as a topping for pasta or as a filling for onigiri (rice balls).
- Use pork or chicken instead of fish.
