Part of what makes Japanese cuisine so special is its celebration of local ingredients that change with the seasons. Shun (旬), the Japanese word for "in season", refers to the time when ingredients are at their peak freshness and taste. Every year, people in Japan eagerly await the return of their favorite seasonal foods and dishes. Our Seasonal Build-Your-Own-Box package allows you to experience this spirit of “shun” at home. Each season, you can handpick your preferred products from our curated selection of seasonal foods to create a package that perfectly fits your palate.

How can I find out more about the products in each category?

You can find more information about each product, including product descriptions, dietary information and suggested uses/recipes, by clicking on the category images at Seasonal “Build-Your-Own-Box” Package.

How often do the products change?

The products change every three months on the first of the month (December, March, June and September) to match the change in seasons:

・Our Winter selection is available in December, January and February.
・Our Spring selection is available in March, April and May.
・Our summer selection is available in June, July and August.
・Our Fall selection is available in September, October and November.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to most countries worldwide. Please visit our FAQs page for more details.

When will my package ship?

We ship packages within 1-3 business days from when the order is placed and it usually takes 3-5 days to arrive via DHL. Packages shipped via Japan Post/your local country carrier can take 2-3 weeks to arrive. Packages shipped domestically within Japan can take 1-3 days to arrive. How much is shipping?

Free shipping is included for all subscription packages, however a 15% duty will be charged at checkout for all deliveries to the US. Duties and custom clearances fees for all other countries will be charged upon delivery according to the individual country's import laws. Please see our FAQs page for more details.

When will my subscription renew?

Your subscription will renew every three months on the day of the month the original order was made.

When can I make my selections for my next box?

You can make your selections for your next box starting on the first of the month of the next season (December, March, June and September). You will receive a reminder email to make your selection 4 days before your next order is placed. You cannot change your selections once your order has been placed.

How do I make my selections for my next box?

  1. 1. Simply log into your account.
    2. On the Order history page, scroll down to Subscriptions.
    3. Click on Active.
    4. Click on Edit next to the subscription you would like to edit.
    5. Make your changes in the pop up screen, then click Edit at the bottom.

What happens if I forget to make my selections before my subscription renewal date?

You will automatically receive the same selections/price as your previous package.

Can I change the categories and/or number of categories for future packages in my subscription?

Yes! You can change the categories and/or number of categories at any time before your next renewal date:

1. Simply log into your account.
2. On the Order history page, scroll down to Subscriptions.
3. Click on Active.
4. Click on Edit next to the subscription you would like to edit.
5. Make your changes in the pop up screen, then click Edit at the bottom.

Can I make this a monthly subscription?

Yes! Simply place an order each month for three months. Please note that the categories and products within each season will not change, but you can change your selection for each month during that season.

Can I send this as a gift?

Absolutely! Simply place the order using the recipient's shipping information at check out. You can cancel the subscription at any time on your account page or by contacting us at info@kokorocares.com.

How can I manage my subscription (Ie update shipping address, payment info, etc.)?

You can manage all your information by simply logging into your account.

Can I skip a package or pause my subscription?

Yes! You can easily skip a package or pause your subscription:

1. Simply log into your account.
2. On the Order history page, scroll down to Subscriptions.
3. Click on Active.
4. Click on Show more -> at the bottom of the subscription you would like to cancel.
5. Click Skip, Pause or Cancel.

How can I cancel my subscription?

We’re sorry to hear that you would like to cancel your subscription and welcome any feedback. You can easily skip a package or pause your subscription if you prefer. To skip, pause or cancel your subscription:

Simply log into your account.
1. On the Order history page, scroll down to Subscriptions.
2. Click on Active.
3. Click on Show more -> at the bottom of the subscription you would like to cancel.
4. Click Skip, Pause or Cancel.
