We gave as a gift to family who are going to Japan for Christmas and 30th birthday celebration. They absolutely love it!! And the daily emails are perfect to add background to each of the items.

Gifted to a family member. They love looking forward to each days treat and also the information that comes along with each day. The items are gourmet and unique, not things you can easily find in an Asian grocery store so its guaranteed to be a new experience.

This is the most beautiful advent calender we've had - and we've had some really special ones in the past, such as a stunning one from a biodynamic farm in Italy but the depth of storytelling, travel, cultural exchange in this one makes it that bit more special. Also, what i love is that the portions are generous enough to share (which is great as i bought it for my son and i'm getting to try all the beautiful items too, and we can enjoy them together). If you're reading this with any doubts hopefully this will allay them as it's really worth every penny (and the calender is so beautifully made you can reuse it and fill it yourself in future years but i'm tempted to buy another one next year.)

I love the festive but natural look to the box. It reminds me of a calm walk on a quiet winter day. Every box inside so far has been a treasure. Mostly I enjoy learning about the product through a daily email that really connects me to the place where it was crafted. A truly unique advent calendar.
