This red shiso furikake (Japanese seasoning) is made from domestic red shiso, a Japanese herb related to mint that has an earthy flavor similar to basil with hints of citrus, and a bright pink hue, that is slowly marinated in a high-quality ume (Japanese plum) vinegar.
