COVID-19 - Important Shipping Updates
Dear Kokoro Community,
First and foremost, we hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during these difficult times.
When Aki and I founded Kokoro Care Packages just over two years ago, we, like so many of you, could never have imagined being in the position we are today.
The affects of COVID-19 have been felt by all of us, both locally and globally, and we hope that you are finding support and positivity as we navigate together through these unprecedented times. Now, more than ever, we are striving to continue delivering your Care Packages, filled with the Japanese foods you have to come to love.
Of note, our partners at Japan Post have made changes to their shipping availability.
Delivering your Care Packages remains our top priority and in order to ensure that we can continue to ship the majority of your Care Packages, will be making the following adjustments. Please see below for how your Care Package and country will be impacted:
1) CHANGES TO CARRIER: US
In order to ensure that your Care Packages arrive in a timely manner with tracking, we will now be using DHL Expressshipping to deliver your Care Packages straight from Japan to your door.
However, due to the extra costs involved with this faster, more reliable service, there will be a temporary US$5/package shipping chargeadded at checkout. This partial shipping charge makes it possible for us to continue delivering the Care Packages you have come to love.
2) CHANGES TO SHIPPING METHOD: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Guadeloupe, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Luxembourg, Macao, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden,Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam
We have been working closely with Japan Post to find the best solution to ensure that you can continue to receive your Care Packages. In order to provide delivery of your Care Packages, we have upgraded your delivery service at no extra cost to you.
The professional service and careful delivery of your package will continue, however they have been experiencing delays. Please accept our apologies in advance and we truly appreciate your patience at this time.
Please note that tracking numbers will not be available for packages delivered to Canada and Australia. We ask that you wait three months before following up for the whereabouts of your packages given the potential delays.
3) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF SHIPPING: Brunei, Chile, Greece, India, Israel, Jamaica, Lithuania, Mauritius, Nicaragua, Romania, Russia
Japan Post has temporarily suspended all shipping methods to these countries and will not be accepting packages for delivery at this time. Unfortunately this means that we will no longer be able to accept orders with delivery to these countries.
We will be in close contact with Japan Post during this time and will provide updates when available.

4) NO CHANGES: Japan
Domestic deliveries within Japan are unaffected and will be delivered as per usual.
